We got so lucky finding Dean. We brought him a 1920s era table that had been my grandmothers and became mine. The chairs wobbled, pieces were missing, it had gotten sun bleached over the years, water marks. Honestly I thought it was a lost cause. Dean is such a perfectionist it’s like a brand new piece of furniture but I still have all the history. He invited me out twice during the process to make sure it was the color I wanted. I am so happy. Beyond thrilled!!!

We brought a butcher block oak dining room table with 2 leaves to Dino. The natural oak finish had yellowed during the past 30 years but the table was study, solid and well built. The 8 wood-trimmed, wheeled, rocking and armed chairs and 3 matching bar chairs were also like new. We provided Dino a sample of the kitchen cabinet finish we wanted to match. He refinished the table, legs, leaves and 66 trim pieces. It is beautiful. Thank you, Dino, for your excellent work, your craftsmanship and your attention to detail.

Had a 3-shelf lawyer bookcase and a smal night stand refinished. They turned out great. There was a lot of work involved to get the lawyer bookcase to its final state. Dino took the necessary time to be sure it ended up as a well done restoration. My only regret was that I waited so long before I contacted Mancini Restoration to get these restorations done.

Our 18-year-old kitchen cabinets are better today than when they were first installed thanks to Dean Mancini’s masterful restoration. We fretted about what to do with the peeling and wearing away of the old finish. Dean made the restoration process problem free. We are so pleased with the end results that we enthusiastically recommend his work.

Dean has a great eye for color and how it can bring life to the wood grain. His finish is superb. It looks like it came back from the best factory. He has the skills to maximize the best of wood, best of color, matching and fillers.
It has been said if you want to ruin a good antique—refinish it. Truth is many antiques need repair. Dean has a great eye for color matching and how best to enhance the grain. He has the skill and ability to perfectly match the original sheen by hand rubbing out the finish just like the original craftsmen. Dean’s makes your restored piece look original.

The clientele for high end musical instruments is a very demanding and a discerning one. I regularly receive enthusiastic compliments on the “Mancini Finish” on Barker Basses. In over 30 years of custom woodworking, I’ve never experienced anything close to what I get from Dean Mancini. For quality, attention to detail, and knowledge of his art, Dean is the best…period.
